The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling an electronic parking brake (EPB) of a vehicle. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for controlling an EPD of a vehicle comprises: an EPB driving unit driving an EPB; a main MCU unit controlling the EPB driving unit; and a sub-MCU unit monitoring the state of the main MCU unit, determining whether or not the main MCU unit malfunctions as a result of monitoring, controlling the EPB driving unit acting as the main MCU unit when hardware of the main MCU unit malfunctions, and branching the main MCU unit to an emergency interrupt to enable the main MCU unit to control the EPB driving unit when software of the main MCU unit malfunctions. The present invention releases the EPB using the sub-MCU in order to improve driver convenience. |
