The present invention relates to a hair dryer for supplying wind to dry hair or form curls, wherein the hair dryer prevents damage to the hair or scalp due to the proximal use of hot air. According to the present invention, the hair dryer comprises a switch unit for selecting the discharge state of wind, wherein the hair dryer controls the current applied to a coil according to the selection of the switch unit, thereby discharging a desired state of wind. Also, an automatic function is added to the switch unit and a distance sensor is installed at a discharge port. When the switch unit selects the automatic function, the amount of the current applied to the coil is selectively controlled according to the distance sensed by the distance sensor. |
