The present invention provides an apparatus for thermal reduction of metal, preventing vapor from being reduced from penetrating target material for reduction through an air hole of a surface to be condensed and comprising: a preheating part preheating the target material for reduction; a reduction part connected to the preheating part and allowing a thermal reduction reaction of the target material for reduction to occur therein; a cooling part connected to the reduction part and allowing the target material for reduction to be introduced and discharged to the outside; a first gate valve installed between the preheating part and the reduction part; a second gate valve installed between the reduction part and the cooling part; a condenser connected to the reduction part and condensing metallic vapor. The fireproof wall of the reduction part, which forms the body of the reduction part, comprises: a fireproof material forming the inner surface and made of graphite material to block reaction with metallic vapor; an insulating material for securing insulation; an outer cover forming an the outer surface and made of steel material; and a metal plate laminated between the fireproof material and an outer cover to block movement of the metallic vapor.
