FIELD: metallurgy; technological processes.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of metal sheet with two surfaces, each of which is coated with metal coating containing zinc, 0.1-20 wt% aluminium and 0.1-10 wt% magnesium. Method includes at least following steps: creation of steel substrate (3), having two surfaces (5), application of metal coating (7) for each surface (5) immersing substrate (3) in bath, cooling metal coating (7), conversion of layers of magnesium oxide or magnesium hydroxide, formed on outer surfaces (15) of metal coating (7), application of acid solution on outer surface of metal coatings and/or application of mechanical action using roller regular machine, brush device or shot blasting device to external surfaces of metal coatings and application of oil layer on outer surfaces (15) of metal coating (7).EFFECT: invention provides improved temporary protection of produced metal sheets with Zn-Al-Mg coatings.24 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
