A method of assessing the negative impact of the oxidation stress on the body of pigs includes the analysis of the antioxidant defense system on the activity of enzymes catalase and superoxide dismutase of blood. Additionally, it is determined the level of lipid hydroperoxide and conjugated diene and on the grounds of comprehensive picture of the activity of antioxidant enzymes and lipid peroxidation products are judged on the extent of the negative impact of the oxidation stress.
