Disclosed is a photographic lens optical system which simplifies a structure and a manufacturing process. The photographic lens optical system comprises: an aperture, a plurality of lenses, and a sensor to record an image transferred through the lenses. A second surface (a light exiting surface) of the lens farthest from the sensor among the lenses is flat. The lenses are made of plastic and comprise a first to a fifth lens sequentially arranged between a subject and the sensor. The first to the third lens have positive refractive power, and the remaining lenses have negative refractive power. At least one surface of both surfaces of the fifth lens has a plurality of inflection points.
