The present invention relates to a method of detecting a face direction of a driver. The present invention comprises: a first step of inputting a facial image using, especially, a driver condition monitoring system; a second step of determining whether the driver wears glasses from a face of the driver inputted in the first step; a third step of determining, when detecting the glass area in the second step, whether four and more reflection points exist in a glass area; a fourth step of arranging illumination reflection points according to a size, when it is determined that there exist four or more reflection points in the glass area in the third step; a fifth step of detecting two virtual images of illumination after the illumination reflection points are arranged in the fourth step; and a sixth step of detecting a face direction vector from the two illumination virtual images which are detected in the fifth step. Since illumination reflection points due to glasses are inversely used, a direction of glasses becomes a face direction. Therefore, marketability and safety can be improved by increasing an estimation probability of a line-of-sight of a driver using a direction of glasses. |
