The purpose of the present invention is to improve conversion efficiency by absorbing energy smaller than bandgap energy of a photovoltaic cell or converting the energy into electric energy. The present invention relates to a hybrid thermophotovoltaic energy conversion system to utilize a wide range radiation spectrum. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the hybrid thermophotovoltaic energy conversion system comprises: an absorbing layer element for absorbing radiant energy less than or equal to bandgap energy of an absorbed energy source; a photovoltaic cell for converting radiant energy more than or equal to the bandgap energy of the absorbed energy source into electric energy; and a heat control element for managing to maintain a difference of the temperature greater than or equal to a threshold value in different side surfaces of the absorbing layer element. |
