PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a novel retention agent that can, when pesticidally controlling a centipede using a peppermint oil as a pesticidal ingredient, be used regardless of indoor or outdoor, and that can realize a pesticidal ingredient for a long period of time; and the retention agent-containing pesticide.SOLUTION: The solution means is: a retention agent for peppermint oil having a menthone glycerin acetal as an active ingredient; and a centipede pesticide having a peppermint oil as a pesticidal ingredient and containing the retention agent and in which the weight ratio of the peppermint oil and the menthone glycerin acetal is in a predetermined range of weight ratio.SELECTED DRAWING: None
