PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device that can separate and convey preferably sheets regardless of the type of the sheets.SOLUTION: A sheet conveying device 1 comprises a supporting part 6 that supports sheets SH and a conveying part 4 that conveys the sheets SH to be supported by the supporting part 6, in a predetermined conveying direction. The conveying part 4 has: a separating roller 42 that can rotate around a first shaft core X1 parallel to a width direction orthogonal to the conveying direction; a separating pad 20 that separates the sheets SH to be supported by the supporting part 6 one by one, in cooperation with the separating roller 42; and pressing means 29 that presses the separating pad 20 against the separating roller 42. The sheet conveying device 1 further comprises an attaching/detaching member 100 a state of which can be changed between an attached state where the member is attached to the conveying part 4 and a detached state where the member is detached from the conveying part 4 and changes pressing loads F1 acting on the separating pad 20 in the attached state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
