PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight device for a vehicle which can properly irradiate a range in which an own vehicle can stop by a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A headlight device 1 comprises: a plurality of optical systems 11, 21 and 31 which are arranged at a plurality of light sources 10, 20 and 30, respectively, and irradiate both front parts of an own vehicle with light at a plurality of light distribution patterns which are set while being displaced to at least a vertical direction; stoppable distance calculation means 220 which calculates a stoppable distance of the own vehicle; and light source control means 100 which controls between lighting and lighting off a plurality of the light sources so that a region ahead of the own vehicle by the stoppable distance is irradiated with light by at least one of a plurality of the optical systems.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
