PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to use a dual-mode femto cell.SOLUTION: A femto base station 1 is used in a radio communication network that wirelessly communicates with a set of one or more radio communication devices MS1-MSn in a coverage area A, and is capable of communication at a plurality of different main carriers. The femto base station includes: monitor means 2 for monitoring the radio communication devices in the coverage area; and control means 3 that performs a process to activate and/or deactivate one or more main carrier frequencies selected from the plurality of main carrier frequencies according to a communication request from a connected device. The femto base station is capable of communication using one or more auxiliary carrier frequencies in addition to the plurality of main carrier frequencies, and deals with, using one of the auxiliary frequencies, a communication device which is in the coverage area but is not dealt with by activated main carrier frequencies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A |
