PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper currency handling apparatus capable of inverting a paper currency upside-down while reducing the size of the apparatus.SOLUTION: The paper currency handling apparatus includes: a reception part to which paper currencies are fed; a determination section that determines the front/rear side of a paper currency; and a transport unit that, when the determination section determines that the paper currency is in a first state, transports the paper currency to a predetermined conveyance destination without via the reception part, and when the determination section determines that the paper currency is in a second state, transports the paper currency to the predetermined conveyance destination via the reception part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
