摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve brightness in a liquid crystal display device provided with a back light unit including a wavelength converting member.SOLUTION: A back light unit includes a light source emitting the light of emission center wavelength λ nm, and a wavelength conversion member positioned on an optical path of the light emitted from the light source. The wavelength conversion member includes a wavelength conversion layer including a fluorescent body emitting fluorescent light by being excited by excitation light, and a light scattering layer including particles of sizes of 0.1 μm or more in matrix. An average refraction index n1 of the wavelength conversion layer satisfies a relationship of n1<n2 with respect to an average refraction index n2 of the matrix of the light scattering layer, and an absorptivity in the wavelength λ nm of the light scattering layer is 8.0% or less. A liquid crystal display device, and the wavelength conversion member are also disclosed.SELECTED DRAWING: None
