PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit a wasteful process requiring detection of a size and type mismatch.SOLUTION: When a size/type mismatch detecting portion 215 instructs a print request, paper feeding cassettes 225a-225c as paper feeding column candidates are searched based on a content of the print request; then it is confirmed whether the paper feeding cassettes 225a-225c as the paper feeding column candidates correspond to the print request; then, if any of the paper feeding cassettes 225a-225c correspond to the print request, the corresponding paper feeding cassette is selected as a paper feeding column; if none of the paper feeding cassettes 225a-225c correspond to the print request, it is detected that size and type are mismatched; and when a common flag is set on by a paper feeding casette management portion 214, it is detected immediately whether size and type are mismatched by comparison of the content of the print request with the common flag.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
