PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable operation of opening and closing a terminal device, the operation being performed with the intuitive and simple operation based on the movement of the forearm remaining of a person with a forearm amputation oneself, different from a conventional non-electric body-powered upper extremity prosthesis for transmitting the movement of a scapula and a shoulder joint by wire, etc., and making the movement of the terminal device.SOLUTION: A non-electric body-powered upper extremity prosthesis is configured by including: an inside arm 101 with a socket 105 laid and attached on an amputation end Sa of a forearm Fa; and an outside arm 120 laid thereon, disposed so that this inside arm may relatively be rotated in the circumferential direction, and attached to an elbow Ea or an upper arm. A gripper opening and closing mechanism is included which comprises a movement conversion mechanism for converting a rotational movement to the circumferential direction of the inside arm 101 to the outside arm 120, and opening and closing a gripper 150 of a terminal device 151. As a result of this configuration, a user can obtain a rotation of a socket 105 according to the rotation angle of the amputation end Sa to the elbow Ea by convolution of the forearm Fa of oneself, and can open and close the gripper 150 according to the rotation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
