PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use an image forming apparatus by including a safety checking function and using stored information on a user and a communication function.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a printing part that performs printing; a communication part that receives notification of a disaster; an operation panel; a storage part that stores user management information including contact addresses of users registered in advance; and a control part that, when the communication part receives notification of a disaster, causes the communication part to transmit safety checking notice for checking safety of the users to the contact addresses of the users registered in the user management information, and when the communication part receives replies on the states of the users based on the safety checking notice, checks the states of the users on the basis of the replies on the states of the users.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
