PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying apparatus capable of correcting skew of sheets.SOLUTION: A sheet conveying apparatus 1 comprises: a conveyance unit 10 for conveying sheets, which comprises a first retard roller 12a and a first pressure adjustment mechanism 13a, and a second retard roller 12b and a second pressure adjustment mechanism 13b, which are arranged side by side in a sheet width direction orthogonal to a sheet conveyance direction; skew detection units 30 for detecting skew of the sheets conveyed by the conveyance unit 10; and a control unit for controlling the skew of the sheets conveyed by the conveyance unit 10 by changing sheet conveyance amounts of the first retard roller 12a and the first pressure adjustment mechanism 13a, and the second retard roller 12b and the second pressure adjustment mechanism 13b on the basis of detection results of the skew detection units 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
