The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing stainless steel. More specifically, the method for manufacturing stainless steel comprises a step of directly feeding a nickel cake in an oxide state into an electric arc furnace (EAF), and the nickel cake in an oxide state is charged into the electric arc furnace with metal. According to the present invention, a nickel half-finished product having an optimal condition as a stainless steel-making material is used and a transport and a melting process for dissolution in a submerged arc furnace (SAF) can be eliminated to improve efficiency of a stainless steel manufacturing process, thereby reducing processing costs and distribution costs by transport. |
