PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output driver circuit which generates a differential output signal having a desired amplitude with high precision and avoids application of a voltage in excess of a withstanding voltage to a transistor.SOLUTION: The driver circuit 1 is configured so that a voltage drop element 16 is connected between a CML (Current Mode Logic) comprised of a differential input circuit 10 and output resistors RLP, RLN and a power supply line VCC on high-potential side and so that a switching element MSW1 is connected in parallel to the voltage drop element to on-off control the switching element according to an amperage running through the output resistor with a switch control circuit 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
