PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the troublesome problem of necessity of manual designation of a destination for each document in transmitting documents, in a lump, to a plurality of destinations in the conventional technology for transmitting FAX in a lump.SOLUTION: A device comprising a FAX transmission function comprises: means for reading a plurality of manuscripts to be a target of FAX transmission to create a plurality of pieces of scan data; OCR processing means for extracting character strings showing destinations of FAX transmission from the plurality of pieces of scan data corresponding to the plurality of manuscripts, respectively; FAX job creation means for creating a FAX job obtained by collecting, for each of the extracted destinations of FAX transmission, scan data to be transmitted to the destination; and transmission means for performing automatic FAX transmission on the basis of the created FAX job.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
