PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the vicinity of base ends of supporting columns to be effectively reinforced by a simple configuration, to prevent occurrence of excessive stress concentration in base end portions of the supporting columns by vibration generated at the time of traveling and work of a work machine and to impart high rigidity to the supporting columns.SOLUTION: A canopy of a work machine comprises: a base fixed to a machine body; supporting columns rising from the base; a roof provided at upper sides of the supporting columns; and reinforcement members having upper end portions and lower end portions and reinforcing the supporting columns. Outer peripheral surfaces of the supporting columns have first outer surface portions welded to the base and second outer surface portions not welded to the base. The reinforcement members have proximity portions facing the outer peripheral surfaces of the supporting columns and being in close proximity to the second outer surface portions and separation portions facing the outer peripheral surfaces of the supporting columns and being separated from the first outer surface portions so as to avoid interference with the first outer surface portions of the supporting columns. The proximity portions are welded to the second outer surface portions of the supporting columns, and the separation portions are welded to the base.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
