PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clock that has a relatively small circuit, has a relatively high robustness against drive dispersion such as variations in a battery voltage and a gear load torque, allows easy setup of rotation detection of a rotor, and can be driven with low current consumption.SOLUTION: An electronic clock has: a step motor 8; a motor driver 7; a normal drive pulse generating circuit 3 that outputs a normal drive pulse at a specified drive rank; a rotation detection pulse generating circuit 5 that outputs a rotation detection pulse; a rotation detecting circuit 9 that has a first detection mode determine circuit 91 for determination in a first detection mode and a second detection mode determine circuit 92 for determination in a second detection mode, and detects whether a rotor is rotating or not; and a drive rank selecting circuit 10 that specifies a drive rank of a normal drive pulse based on a counting result of a second detection mode rotation detection pulse output counting circuit 11 for counting a number of the output rotation detection pulses in the second detection mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
