PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head capable of maintaining printing quality while lengthened in a main scanning direction.SOLUTION: A thermal head 10 comprises a plurality of exothermal resistive elements 23a arranged in a main scanning direction orthogonal to a sub-scanning direction at intervals, an individual electrode 28a formed on the top surface of the exothermal resistive elements arranged at interval in the main scanning direction and a common electrode 28b formed along the main scanning direction with a space to the individual electrode at a position separate further from a circuit substrate than the individual electrode 28a on the top surface of the exothermal resistive element, and includes a first electrode block 62a and a second electrode block 62b lined up along the main scanning direction, a first power source supply part 40a formed on the circuit substrate and supplying power source to the common electrode of the first electrode block 62a, and a second power source supply part 40b formed on the circuit substrate, electrically independent from the first power source supply part, and supplying power source to the common electrode of the second electrode block 62b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
