PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixation device capable of suppressing the crease of a sheet.SOLUTION: A fixation device 5 comprises: an endless belt 51; a heater HTR; a nip plate 52; a backup member PR for forming a nip between the endless belt and the backup member PR; a reflection plate 56 disposed between the heater and the nip plate; a stay 53 disposed between the reflection plate and the nip plate; and a thermal insulation material 55 sandwiched between the stay and the nip plate. The fixation device 5 performs fixation at the nip while conveying a recording sheet in a conveyance direction. The thermal insulation material includes an upstream support surface 551 that supports the nip plate; and a downstream support surface 553 that is disposed downstream in the conveyance direction away from the upstream support surface and supports the nip plate. The gap between the upstream support surface and the downstream support surface in the conveyance direction in a central part in the longitudinal direction of the thermal insulation material is smaller than the gap between the upstream support surface and the downstream support surface in the conveyance direction in an end part in the longitudinal direction of the thermal insulation material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
