摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission device capable of reducing influences exerted upon a wavelength monitor element by fluctuation in heating power of a semiconductor laser element.SOLUTION: An optical transmission device 1 includes: a semiconductor laser element 11 including heaters 13a-13e for wavelength variation; an integration element 20 including a first optical function element for performing first optical processing on a laser light L1 from the semiconductor laser element 11 and outputting a result of the processing, and a wavelength monitor element 22 which generates a wavelength monitor signal for monitoring an oscillation wavelength of the semiconductor laser element 11; a first temperature control element 3 in which the semiconductor laser element 11 and the integration element 20 are packaged; and a control device 30 for controlling the oscillation wavelength of the semiconductor laser element 11. One end face 11e of the semiconductor laser element 11 is optically coupled to the first optical function element and the wavelength monitor element 22, and the control device 30 controls the heaters 13a-13e in such a manner that the oscillation wavelength of the semiconductor laser element 11 becomes closer to a target oscillation wavelength.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
