PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woody biomass slurry that can produce an organic compound from woody biomass by fluid catalytic cracking without blocking up the inside of a raw material introduction tube of a reactor of fluid catalytic cracking, to provide a hydrolysis product of woody biomass produced by hydrolyzing the slurry and to provide a method for producing an organic compound.SOLUTION: A woody biomass slurry is used as a raw material for fluid catalytic cracking and includes woody biomass and a dispersion medium having an acidic group. The hydrolysis product of woody biomass is produced by subjecting the woody biomass slurry to hydrolysis treatment. The method for producing an organic compound has a step of subjecting woody biomass slurry including woody biomass and a dispersion medium having an acidic group to hydrolysis treatment to produce a hydrolysis product of woody biomass and a step of subjecting the hydrolysis product of woody biomass to fluid catalytic cracking to produce an organic compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None
