PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a retroreflector capable of comparatively easily manufacturing a retroreflector.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a retroreflector includes: preparing a substrate 17 which is formed by arranging triangular grooves 21 having first and second inclined planes 23 and 24 that are arranged at a right angle thereon; applying an ultraviolet curable resin 26 onto the surface of the substrate 17 and embedding the triangular grooves 21; covering the substrate 17 with a mask 27 and subjecting the substrate 17 to ultraviolet exposure and development treatments; forming a partition 15 having a vertical plane 29 perpendicular to the first and second inclined surfaces 23 and 24; and metal-depositing the surface of the substrate 17 and forming a large number of fine retroreflective portions 16 in which mutually orthogonal first and second reflection surfaces 11 and 12 are formed on the first and second inclined surfaces 23 and 24 and a third reflection surface 14 is formed on a vertical plane 29, on the surface of the substrate 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
