PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a circuit configuration to a printer capable of selecting between single color printing and multicolor printing and to construct the appropriate circuit configuration in accordance with application.SOLUTION: A core processing section 54 comprises: four processing sections (unit 1 through unit 4); a line selector 52 allocating significant data out of image data Line 1 through Line 4 input to the processing sections in increasing order and causing the processing sections to process the significant data; and an out selector 56 outputting image data Out 1 through Out 4 processed by each processing section in arrangement of the image data Line 1 through Line 4 input. The out selector 56 adds insignificant data to the arrangement of the significant data processed by the allocated processing sections and outputs them in arrangement of data input when the insignificant data exist in the image data Line 1 through Line 4. One processing section executes predetermined processing by using data supplied corresponding to the processing sections by the line selector 52 and processing results by one previous processing section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
