PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a malfunction prevention method for an opening/closing valve in a degassing device for die casting, which is capable of preventing fine dust or the like from depositing on sliding parts of a closing valve to thereby ensure smooth operation of a degassing device over a prolonged period of time, thus enabling improved productivity and cost reduction.SOLUTION: A malfunction prevention method for an opening/closing valve comprises arranging at least a bypass route 32 on the side of a closing valve 5 in a degassing route 3 of a degassing device for die casting using a vacuum suction unit to thereby make the molten metal passing through the bypass route 32 arrive at the closing valve 5 later than the molten metal passing through a main route 31. A bent section is preferably provided in the main route 31, and also the bypass route 32 is preferably provided over between a movable block 2 and a fixed block.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
