PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved coated particle for a lithium ion secondary battery and others which enable the suppression of a side reaction owing to a high nickel-based complex oxide, and therefore enable the increase in the cycle life of a lithium ion secondary battery arranged by use of a high nickel-based complex oxide.SOLUTION: To solve the above problem, a coated particle for a lithium ion secondary battery is provided according to an aspect of the present invention, which comprises: a positive electrode active material particle in which nickel atoms account for 80 atom% or more to all of metal atoms except lithium atoms in a positive electrode active material particle; and a coating layer coating the positive electrode active material particle and including diamond-like carbon. The coating layer has a thickness of 5-20 nm; and the ratio SP/SPof the coating layer is 55/45 to 60/40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
