PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute appropriate overlay printing.SOLUTION: A PC 10 stores identification information and unique information in association with each other. A printer 50 stores overlay data, the identification information, and the unique information, in association with each other. The PC transmits a print command using the overlay data, the identification information for identifying the overlay data, the unique information stored in associated with the identification information, and document data, to the printer. The printer having received the print command or the like determines whether the received unique information coincides with the unique information stored in association with the received identification information. When they coincide with each other, the printer executes overlay printing. When the overlay data registered on the printer coincides with the overlay data corresponding to the print command, overlay printing is enabled, to execute appropriate overlay printing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
