PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite particle containing a polymer particle and a metal oxide particle including a metal oxide other than silica attached to a surface of the polymer particle, in which the composite particle enables the metal oxide particle to be difficult to be fallen off from the polymer particle and has an excellent weather resistance, and to provide a method for manufacturing the composite particle and use thereof.SOLUTION: A composite particle comprises: a polymer particle; a metal oxide particle attached to a surface of the polymer particle; and a water-soluble cellulose. The metal oxide particle comprises silica and a metal oxide other than silica. The method for manufacturing the composite particle includes subjecting a polymeric monomer to water-based suspension polymerization in the presence of metal oxide particles coated with silica in which the water-soluble cellulose is adsorbed to a surface thereof to obtain the composite particle comprising the polymer particle and the metal oxide particles coated with silica attached to the polymer particle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
