REINFORCING STRUCTURE FOR STEEL PLATE FLOOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce a steel plate floor without forming a hole through a deck plate.SOLUTION: A stud bolt 13 is welded on an undersurface of a deck plate 11 and a side surface of a U-rib 12 of a steel plate floor. The stud bolt 13 is inserted into a bolt insertion hole 14a of a bent reinforcing plate 14 pressed against the undersurface of the deck plate 11 and the side surface of the U-rib 12. A nut 15 is screwed into the stud bolt 13 for fixing the reinforcing plate 14 to the steel plate floor. This eliminates a need to form a through-hole for inserting a bolt on the deck plate 11. This also eliminates a need to remove a pavement on a top surface of the deck plate 11 when reinforcing the steel plate floor, thereby saving labor and allowing the reinforcement work to be performed while vehicles travel on the steel plate floor. Also, strength of the deck plate 11 is not impaired because no hole is pierced through the deck plate 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
