PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink set for inkjet recording, which can further increase an optical density (OD value) and a chroma.SOLUTION: The aqueous ink set for inkjet recording comprises an aqueous ink for inkjet recording and a treatment agent. The aqueous ink comprises a colorant and water: the colorant comprises a self-dispersion type pigment modified with a phosphate group; and the treatment agent comprises at least either dextran or its derivative. By combining the treatment agent comprising at least either dextran or its derivative with the aqueous ink comprising a self-dispersion pigment modified with a phosphate group, an optical density (OD value) and a chroma can be further increased.SELECTED DRAWING: None
