PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact zoom lens that meets requirements of reduced height and wider view angle and is well corrected for various aberrations.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises; a first lens, or first optical element, having a convex surface on the object side and positive refractive power; a meniscus-shaped second lens, or second optical element, having a concave surface on the image side and negative refractive power; a third lens, or third optical element, having at least one aspherical surface; a fourth lens, or fourth optical element, having at least one aspherical surface; a fifth lens, or fifth optical element, having at least one aspherical surface; a bi-aspherical sixth lens, or sixth optical element, having a concave surface on the image side, where the image-side surface of the sixth lens is an aspherical surface having an inflection point positioned off an optical axis; and one bi-aspherical aberration correction optical element, or seventh optical element, located between the first lens and an image capturing plane and having substantially no refractive power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
