PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a briquette for producing coke capable of suppressing segregation of the briquette within a coal tower in producing coke by using dust coal and briquettes as raw coal and a method of producing coke using the briquette.SOLUTION: There is provided a briquette for producing coke obtained by molding raw coal containing dust coal. The briquette for producing coke has a shape whose rotational coefficients specified below is within the range of 2.0 to 3.0. (1) Three axes orthogonal to each other are set with a straight line, which passes through the center of gravity of the briquette and is parallel to a longest edge of the briquette, as a reference axis. (2) The moment of inertia when the briquette rotates once around each axis of the three axes being set is calculated respectively. (3) Among the moment of inertia around the three axes, a ratio of a maximum value thereof to a minimum value thereof is calculated for use as a rotational coefficient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
