PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently obtaining high-purity 4-dimethylaminopiperidine with reduced impurity content from 4-dimethylaminopiperidine containing impurities.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for purifying 4-dimethylaminopiperidine, which comprises the following steps 1 and 2. Step 1: a step of cooling 4-dimethylaminopiperidine containing impurities to a temperature of the melting point of 4-dimethylaminopiperidine or lower to obtain a mixture of crystals of 4-dimethylaminopiperidine and a molten liquid. Step 2: a step of separating the mixture of the crystals of 4-dimethylaminopiperidine and the molten liquid obtained in the step 1 into crystals and a molten liquid at 30°C or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
