PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deceleration caused by a coast-down shift in a case where abnormality occurs in which no blipping control is executed during a coast-down shift in a vehicle in which the blipping control is executed during the coast-down shift.SOLUTION: In a vehicle in which blipping control is executed to increase an engine revolution speed NE during a coast-down shift from a second speed to a first speed targeting a B2 brake to engagement control, an ECU performs: determining presence of abnormality of a blipping where blipping control is normally executed during a coast-down shift from the second to first speeds; and engaging the B2 brake if no abnormality of blipping occurs during the coast-down shift from the second to first speeds, or releasing the B2 brake instead of engaging if abnormality of blipping occurs during the coast-down shift from the second to first speeds.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
