PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component which achieves high optical output and high luminance to manufacture a light emitting device using a laser diode as a light source and a manufacturing method of the optical component, and to provide a light emitting device using the optical component and a manufacturing method of the light emitting device.SOLUTION: An optical component 10 includes: a support member 11 having a through hole 11a; a first translucent member 12 formed on an inner wall of the through hole 11a; and a second translucent member 13 having a light incident surface 13a, a light emission surface 13b, and an outer peripheral side surface 13c and disposed in the through hole 11a.
