PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for controlling creep torque of a hybrid vehicle, which perform control to output creep torque for eliminating a gear shifting feeling in shifting before the hybrid vehicle equipped with a stepped transmission stops and for improving fuel economy.SOLUTION: A method for controlling creep torque of a hybrid vehicle according to an embodiment of the invention includes steps of: detecting data of the hybrid vehicle for controlling the creep torque; when on the basis of the detected data, a vehicle speed of the hybrid vehicle is equal to or higher than a set speed and a current gear shift stage of the hybrid vehicle is a third stage or a second stage, determining whether or not gears are currently during being shifted; when the hybrid electric vehicle is during shifting from the third stage or the second stage of the gear shift stages to a first stage, applying a creep torque factor depending on a gear shift stage and a brake amount; and controlling a motor to output the creep torque to which the creep torque factor is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
