PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that can obtain a report that is output when an unattached option device is attached to an image forming apparatus without the need to attach the unattached option device to the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus in an image forming system includes: an apparatus control part that, when receiving virtual apparatus information from a computer for development, virtually recognizes that an unattached option device is attached thereto even when the unattached option device is not attached thereto, and stores the virtual apparatus information in an apparatus storage part as apparatus information indicating the current state of the apparatus; and an output part that, when receiving an instruction to output a report indicating the state of the image forming apparatus while the virtual apparatus information is stored in the apparatus storage part, outputs a report on the basis of the virtual apparatus information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
