PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device which monitors execution state of a control program in a control of an on-vehicle electronic apparatus and can continue the control of the on-vehicle apparatus even when an abnormal execution state is detected, and to provide a control method using the same.SOLUTION: A control device is provided with a dedicated circuit 110 for program execution monitoring, which is composed of an execution time monitoring circuit, a setting register, and so on, and is connected to a CPU 130 of a control device MCU 31 of an on-vehicle electronic apparatus. It monitors execution times of tasks executed by a control program of the on-vehicle electronic apparatus and allows continuation of the control of the on-vehicle electronic apparatus such as an electric power steering by performing alternative processing when an abnormality is detected in an execution time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
