PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel for mold and a mold securing high hardness and high corrosion resistance, as well as further having good annealing property, difficulties of deposition of grain boundary carbide and difficulties of deposition of pearlite.SOLUTION: A steel for mold is manufactured with a composition containing, 0.200<C<0.380, 0.40<Si<1.50, 0.50<Mn<1.50, 0.40<Ni<1.40, 10.50<Cr<12.50, 0.01<Mo<0.29, 0.002<V<0.32, 0.001<N<0.200, 0.230<C+N<0.460 and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
