PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector which can be made small-sized and thin by forming an insulation film only in a card loading portion in a metallic tray.SOLUTION: The card connector is mounted in an electronic apparatus and loads/unloads a card for inputting and/or outputting electronic information to and/or from the electronic apparatus to/from the electronic apparatus. The card connector includes the metallic tray which is provided movable between a drawing position where the metallic tray is partially drawn out of a connector body relatively to the electronic apparatus and a push-in position where the metallic tray is pushed into the connector body, and accommodates and holds the card at the drawing position where the metallic tray is drawn out of the connector body. The metallic tray includes an outer frame and inward flange-shaped holding frames to which the card is engaged inside of the outer frame. At least over card loading surfaces of a pair of opposite holding frames, the insulation film of desired thickness is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
