PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control unit capable of suppressing the quantity of NOx emitted from a vehicle even when an outdoor temperature around the vehicle suddenly falls.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 1 mounted in a vehicle is provided with an SCR catalyst 41 which purifies NOx and which is provided in an exhaust passage 26. When a temperature of the SCR catalyst 41 is not lower than an activation temperature and a condition that a reduction amount of an outdoor air within prescribed time is not smaller than a preset threshold is satisfied, a control unit 80 implements NOx reduction processing for changing a combustion state of an air-fuel mixture so that a quantity of the NOx generated in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine 1 is smaller than a quantity when the condition is not satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
