PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which inhibits light leakage from a side surface direction and achieves high efficiency of extracting light in a front direction.SOLUTION: A light emitting device 100 includes: a light emitting element 22 having a translucent substrate 16 and a semiconductor layer 18; a substrate 10 on which the light emitting element 22 is placed with the translucent substrate 16 side located at the upper side; a recessed part 32 formed on an upper surface of the translucent substrate 16; a wavelength conversion member disposed in the recessed part 32; and a light reflection member 12 covering a side surface of the translucent substrate 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A |
