PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner which includes a detection mechanism capable of performing a detection operation with high reliability with a structure of low cost.SOLUTION: An air cleaner, in a body, includes: the body which can accommodate a cleaning filter unit such as a dust collection filter for collecting dust in a housing and a deodorization filter; an air suction port which is formed on an upstream of the cleaning filter unit; a centrifugal fan and a motor-driven blower which take in air from the air suction port and which allow the air to pass the filter unit. In the housing, a cleaning filter unit mounting part is formed for mounting the cleaning filter unit. A detection mechanism is mounted on an upper surface of the cleaning filter unit mounting part, and the detection mechanism is configured by a detection sensor and a detection lever. The detection sensor is mounted in the body, and the detection lever is projected so as to be located in the cleaning filter unit mounting part. Detection means is provided which can detect presence/absence of the dust collection filter by inserting the dust collection filter in the cleaning filter unit mounting part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
