Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method for changing a profile using an identification module and an electronic device using the same, which may activate a profile stored in an embedded identification module to receive a wireless communication network service corresponding to the activated profile. According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, a method for changing a profile using an identification module comprises: checking a network selected by a user; determining whether a profile that may use the network is included in the identification module, by corresponding to the checked network; downloading the profile corresponding to the network when the profile is not included in the identification module to activate the downloaded profile; activating the profile when the profile is included in the identification module; and connecting the network based on the activated profile. The present invention also includes embodiments different from the embodiment stated above.
