PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power generation with an onboard power generation device by making an external charging device take on a most portion of charging to a secondary battery of a range extension vehicle.SOLUTION: A control device of a vehicle includes a remaining capacity detection part which detects a remaining capacity of a secondary battery that supplies electric power to a driving motor, and a travel mode switching part which switches from a first travel mode to a second travel mode based on the remaining capacity, and switches from the second travel mode to the first travel mode based on the fact that external charging has been made.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
